On the occasion of Women’s Day, Soman’s group, including Soman’s Leisure Tours and Soman’s Global Education, honored three unsung women covid warriors in Ernakulam district with Woman of Inspiration Awards. The winners include Biji A. V., Senior Police Officer, Panangad Police Station; Nicey Jose, Nursing Assistant, General Hospital, Ernakulam and Zeenath, Social Work at Snehatheeram Charitable Trust, Aluva.
At a function held at Soman’s group headquarters in Kaloor, Kochi, M K Soman, Managing Director, Soman’s gave away Rs.10,001 cash award, citation and mementos to the winners. Speaking on the occasion, Jeena, Director, Soman’s group, said the covid warriors were chosen with the help of various government departments and NGOs. Women-only tours to be operated by Soman’s to Kashmir, Gavi-Thekkady and Dubai were also launched at the function.
