Cardiac surgeon Padma ShriDr. Jose Chacko Periyappuram launched www.lovederly.com, an online platform providing comprehensive details on palliative care providers, care homes, assisted living centres, home nursing agencies, physiotherapy centres and child care homes, etc. at different locations in the state at a function held in Kochi on Saturday. The free-to-use platform set up by Kanjirappally-based Swaruma Charitable Society derives its name from the society’s initiative ‘Love the elderly’.
A news release issued by the society said the site will keep reliable and regularly updated information to inform the public about where the services for ill, bedridden, mentally and physically challenged people are available in their respective neighbourhoods. Speaking on the occasion, Zacharia Njavallil, Project Incharge, said lovederly.com will be a helping hand especially for those working abroad when they need such services for their family members in Kerala. “It will be updating necessary details about all health care institutions owned and managed by both the private sector and public sectors,” he added.
